We process personal data that we receive from you when establishing and maintaining our business relationship with you. We also process data that we have lawfully obtained from credit reference agencies, creditor protection associations, publicly accessible sources (e.g. the Commercial Register, Register of Associations, Land Register and media sources), as well as from other companies with which we maintain ongoing business relationships.

What Is the Legal Basis for Processing Your Data?

The processing of personal data is based on the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of a Contract and Pre-Contractual Measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): Your data is processed for the provision of services, as well as for customer administration and analysis. In particular, your data is processed during the establishment of business relationships and in the performance of contracts concluded with you.
  • Compliance with Legal Obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR): The processing of your data is necessary for compliance with various legal obligations, including obligations arising under the Austrian Commercial Code (Unternehmensgesetzbuch – UGB) and the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code (Bundesabgabenordnung – BAO).
  • Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): Following a balancing of interests, personal data may be processed beyond the actual performance of the contract where this is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests or those of third parties. In particular, personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
    • Consulting and exchanging data with credit reference agencies and creditor protection associations in the context of debt collection and creditworthiness assessments
    • Advertising and marketing activities
    • Measures relating to business management and the further development of our services
    • Measures to protect our company against breaches of contract or unlawful conduct, such as access controls and video surveillance
    • The establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims
    • Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): Where you have provided your consent to the processing of your personal data, such processing will only take place for the purposes specified in the relevant consent declaration and within the agreed scope. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example in relation to the receipt of our newsletter or the transfer of data to third parties.

Who Receives Your Data?

  • If we engage data processors, we remain responsible for the protection of your personal data. All data processors are contractually obliged to treat your data confidentially and to process it only for the purposes of providing their services. Our data processors will only receive your personal data where this is necessary for the provision of their services. These include IT service providers required for the operation and security of our IT systems, carriers and transport companies carrying out transport services on our behalf, as well as group companies that provide services to us (a list of group companies can be found at the following link: www.ssk.cc/unternehmen/partner-kooperationen/).
  • For the purposes of creditor protection, we transfer master data and relevant information to debt collection agencies and credit reference agencies (e.g. CRIF GmbH).
  • Where required by law, and in connection with the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, public authorities, courts and external auditors may receive your personal data.
  • Furthermore, for the purposes of establishing and performing contracts, insurers, banks, credit reference agencies and service providers may receive your personal data.

How Long Will Your Data Be Stored?

We process and store your personal data for the duration of the business relationship and for as long as necessary to comply with applicable warranty, guarantee, limitation and statutory retention periods (for example, under the Austrian Commercial Code (Unternehmensgesetzbuch – UGB) and the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code (Bundesabgabenordnung – BAO)). In addition, personal data may be retained until the final resolution of any legal disputes in which the data is required as evidence.

Collection and Use of Applicant Data

As part of the recruitment process (whether online, by e-mail, post or in person), Dolomitsandwerk GesmbH & Co KG collects personal data such as your name, address, date of birth, curriculum vitae (CV), cover letter, and any other information you voluntarily provide to us. This data is used exclusively for the recruitment process and is accessible only to a limited group of authorised personnel. We reserve the right to forward applications to group companies where an application may also be relevant for other vacancies. Applicants will be expressly informed of any potential transfer of data in the relevant job advertisement. If you do not wish your data to be shared in this way, please indicate this in your application.

Online Applications

Our website provides information on current vacancies and offers applicants the opportunity to submit applications electronically (by e-mail). During the online application process, all data and files submitted by you are stored temporarily. If you do not consent to the Privacy Notice and therefore do not complete your online application, all data and files you have provided will be deleted immediately.

Data Retention

If an employment relationship is established, the data collected during the recruitment process will be used for pre-contractual measures (e.g. preparation of the employment contract) and transferred to your personnel file. If your application is unsuccessful, your personal data will be retained for a period of seven months in accordance with legal requirements. After this period, your data will be deleted. Your personal data will only be retained beyond this period for consideration for future vacancies with your explicit consent.

We automatically collect and store information transmitted to us by your browser. This information includes:

Users' IP addresses are deleted or anonymised once they have finished using the website. In the case of anonymisation, IP addresses are modified in such a way that personal data can no longer be attributed to an identified or identifiable natural person, or only with a disproportionate amount of time, cost and effort. We analyse log file data in anonymised form to further improve our website, make it more user-friendly, and identify and resolve errors more quickly. In addition, this data is used to manage server capacity and ensure that sufficient resources are available when required.
