Production
At moderate temperatures of approximately 800 °C, only the carbon dioxide from the magnesium carbonate is released. This results in a porous CaCO₃·MgO structure with a high internal surface area – providing the ideal basis for rapid reactions.

Production
By calcining at temperatures above 1,000 °C, the dolomite is completely converted into CaO·MgO. State-of-the-art kiln technology results in a T60 value of approximately two minutes and a pH value of > 12, making the material suitable for demanding process applications.
